About Gablevale
A directory of local trades and property services: heating engineers, plumbers, electricians, roofers, locksmiths, bin cleaning, window cleaning and pest control. Every business listed is an active company on the Companies House register, and its listing shows the company number. Listings come from two places: entries we add ourselves from each business's own website, and submissions from businesses, which we check before they go live. We check the company, not the work: we don't vet, rate or guarantee anyone's work, and we say so. Listing is free; Featured and Premium are a flat monthly fee, and we never take a cut of a job.
Where Gablevale is going
Leeds is the first city. The directory is built city by city, so it can grow beyond Leeds.
Where the listings come from
Two places: entries we add ourselves from each business's own public website, and submissions from businesses through the listing form, which we check before they go live. A listing we added says where its details came from and when we checked them.
We don't publish reviews. Prices, opening and availability change, so check anything important with the business before you rely on it. If you're listed and something is wrong, or you'd rather not be listed, tell us and we'll correct or remove it.
Paid listings
Listing is free, and a free listing can show up to 3 photos. A business can pay £49 a month for Featured, with up to 8 photos, or £199 a month for Premium, with up to 20. Paid listings carry a Featured or Premium badge and are shown above free listings in their category; within each group, listings are in alphabetical order. The order is not a ranking of quality.
We don't charge per lead or take a commission. Phone numbers, email addresses and website links go straight to the business.
